Munich Germany Week 9

Hi everybody!

Well another week down for me here in Munich! This week has been full of cool things!

To start Andrew and Rebecca got confirmed last sunday which was so great! They were totally glowing and so happy and excited to finally be official members of the church! They continue to do well and blossom in the Gospel so to say.

We had a really cool experience finding some one this week. We were teaching a lesson to these two girls we have been teaching a little and after the lesson we were just starting to drive home and one of the girls called us telling us that there was a member there at her apartment. We didnt really know what to do and had no clue which member of the ward would have been there so we decided to go back and check it out. When we got there, we went back up to there room and knocked on the door. She came out and said that the "member" that was there lived "there", pointed to the door across from her. We know that a member of our ward did not live there but we knocked on the door anyway. A guys answered the door and was really happy to see the missionaries! He invited us in and we started talking. He told us that he was new in Munich and had just moved here from Italy. We said he got to know the church first in Italy. We knew so much about the church and the gospel and bore his testimony of the restoration like 3 times so i just assumed he was a member! Just to make sure i asked him, "so you were baptized in Italy then"? he then told us that unfortunately right before he got baptized he had to move so he never got baptized but really wanted to stay a member! He has been looking to the church in Munich but just could not find it. He was so happy and we all knew that God had sent us to him! We invited him to be baptized in a month or so and he excepted! We will see what happens but it was a really cool experience of the Lord leading us to people that are ready to hear the gospel!

Another tender mercy this week was that we got an AC unit in the office which was also a answer to the  prayers of many. I dont need to tell that story but just know we got one;)

Well today we are really excited because they are playing Meet The Mormons at one of the Churches here in Munich so we are excited to go to that! We have invited a lot of people to come so we will see how it turns out!

Well we do not have too much planned for Pday today but maybe we will go do something spontaneous.......

I hope everyone has a great week! Send me Peanut butter and air heads if you have the desire!

Munich Germany Week 8

Hi friends and family that read my letter!

Just like all the other weeks on my mission, this one has been a good one!

The big highlights for this week have been the final countdown for Andrew and Rebecca´s baptism tomorrow! We finished teaching them all the material this week reviewed all the questions for the baptismal interview! We had the interview on Friday and the Zone Leaders were so impressed how well they know the gospel for only have had met with the missionaries for 2 months! I was kind of nervous because Andrew´s interview lasted over one hour but it turns out he just did not want to stop talking about the gospel! It was so great! We got all the baptismal clothing sized up now we just have to wait until tomorrow! It has been a stressful week in this way but I feel so much happiness for them! Lets hope that it goes through!;)

We kind of realized that we needed to work on finding new people to teach so that we can stay busy after Andrew and Rebecca get baptized! I was praying really hard last weekend that we would be able to find some new people and some cool things happened! I girl showed up at church on Sunday because a friend told her that she would like it! She loved church a lot and we made out an appointment to teach her this week! We went over to her house and her roommate she lives with was really interested too! We taught them both about the Restoration and they loved it! They are both starting to read the BOM and they should be coming to church tomorrow! We also got a referral of just a guy that talked to missionaries on the street and gave them his number! We met with him and had a great lesson! We got 3 new investigators which was for sure an answer to my prayers!

Well for Pday today we went to this really famous museum here in Munich! it is basically a museum all about germany and everything your could imagine! it is like 6 floors of pure information. Im not really a museum guy, but it was pretty cool! i think the other guys liked it a lot more than i did! We also played some 4th of July football this morning with some people from the ward which was so fun! It was good to be in american mode for a couple of hours!

Well that was my week! i hope it was sum what interesting! I hope everyone else has a great week! I love you all!

Liebe Grüße,

Munich Germany Week 6

Hallo friends and family!

This week has consisted of some really crazy days and some really fun days!

I will start off with the crazy stuff which mostly consisted of transfer day and the days leading up to transfer day! We spent a lot of time this week making the "transfer map" and buying tickets for all the missionaries and sending them and stuff like that. Luckily the german train company did not go on strike the week of transfers like last transfer so things went a lot better than last time! No trains were missed and only 5 new missionaries came into the field so it was not too complicated. That being said it is still stressful at times!

Like I said last week, Elder Plumb got transferred to Linz which means that we got a new companion in the office! his name is Elder Samuelson and he is awesome! He is from Spokane Washington and has been on his mission for only 1 transfer longer then me. We are really happy to have him! I think i already explained this but i technically have 3 companions right now. Elder Evans, who i do my office work with, Elder Pingel who is from Tremonton Utah and now Elder Samuelson. We are one big happy companionship! We split up a lot to get all of our work done but we all have the same investigators and stuff like that. it is tons of fun!

This week i got to do something that i never thought i would do on my mission! Elder Plumb and I got to take a road trip so Salzburg and spend the day there! So there is a mission car here at the mission office that is registered in Austria and we had to take it to get some inspection done and it just so happened that the closest place to Munich where we could have it done was Salzburg! We drove down Tuesday night and stayed with the Zone Leaders who are good friends of ours and then took the car in Wednesday morning and they told us it would be done in the afternoon so we had to day to explore Salzburg and meet with some old members that we both know really well from serving there! It was a ton a fun! It was one of those "office elder perks" that does not happen very much! Tons of good!

The baptism for Andrew and Rebecca is this next coming sunday and we are so excited! We have a few more things to teach and go over but we think they are for sure going to be ready! They are still doing great and are anxiously waiting to get Baptized! More info on that to come!

Well folks that is pretty much it! this week has been full of great adventures! I just realized to that i just started my 8th transfer so that means that i will hit my one year mark on my mission this transfer which is so crazy to think about! i have learned so much from my mission and cant wait to start the next half! If there is one thing that I have learned already, it is that the church is true and i am on The Lords errand! Im excited to keep working hard and see what the next year brings!

Schöne Woche!
